Unfortunately, again we will be forced to continue our efforts for the now drastically long overdue COLA - now over eight years since an adjustment was made. Please try to contact your state congressional members and ask for their help. On June 19, I attended an AFT retiree coordinator conference in Washington, D.C. Much of the day was taken up by discussion of healthcare reform, which the union strongly supports. Check the AFT website for updates on lobbying efforts.
